Anderson Cooper Keeping Them Honest

This is a segment of Anderson Cooper 360 in which Anderson will go directly after politicians, corporations and government agencies to name a few.  He brings them on to the show to answer for claims or comments made.  An example is when Anderson Cooper interviewed Steve Cohen for calling Republicans Nazis in reponse to the debate to repeal Obamacare.  In the end, Cohen said that he wouldn't make say that again but that he was not wrong in saying it in the first place.  Cooper is not immune to the types of comments he tries to expose on his own show however.  In a Keeping Them Honest segment towards the end of July, he produced a poll done by his own network saying that two thirds of the public want a debt ceiling bill that consists of both tax increases and spending cuts while completely ignoring findings in the same poll that two thirds of the public also supported a cut, cap and balance plan.  Anderson Cooper Keeping Them Honest is good but not great.  It goes beyond what other mainstream news outlets are willing to air but if you want to get real news, you will still have to seek out alternative sources.
